Taking Action Palm Oil

My group is researching palm oil and our purpose is to get 100 signatures on a Petition my group leader put on a website called ‘make a change’. We all have jobs and mine is being the spokesman. The reason why we are doing this is that people are using too much palm oil in products and the reason why people are doing this is because palm oil is cheap and companies like to use it. It is bad that we are using Palm Oil because it is killing the orangutans as it is taking away their food and habitat.

The other jobs people have is Josh and Te-Ahu make posters and Matthew sends out emails Jack and Malakia put up the posters Abdur was the typer for the email Luke who is the Researcher and finally Eilidh who is the leader.

Production

I love production practices because I love that you get to be in a fairy tale and you become cool characters. And you help to bring the production to life. The hard thing about being a character is that you have to learn your lines off by heart and you have to know where you stand on stage and what time you come in on stage. I think my character is like me because town criers have loud voices and I have a loud voice. A town crier is not like me because they have big robes and big hats with feathers and l don't wear those things.

Olympics fun day

Last Friday the whole school did an olympics fun afternoon.We had a short lunch then after the roll all of the school came in the quad for the opening Ceremony. Young leaders and sport coaches had one class to take people where they are meant to go. Our class had to split up to boys and girls for two activities because we were so big that we had to split up.The first thing that we the boys did was shot put with light balls but look like the real ones that Valerie Adams uses in the olympics. Then after the boys did the high jump which was really fun because the first jump that I did a side flip and the other jump I did was a normal jump on the mat but I thought that I knocked the pole off but turned out I didn't knock it off. After all the  tasks that my class did we all went back to do a draw because when we did something good we got a gold medal so the young leaders drew out 20 people and from my class I was one of them and I won a bounce ball.

Culture Inquiry

This term we are learning about culture and my class 12/13 did a rotation and the teachers did them about games puzzle and Clothes. The week after we got to chose a topic that we learn about. I wanted to do sports but that was to hard to find the history of so my friend Te-Ahu and i changed to language so we are learning about french and spanish. There is a website called duolingo which we are learning the language. Also there are other people doing french so Te-Ahu and i decided to join with them. And this is the basics of french.
